Hava kirliliği ile mücadele // Fight with the air pollution
Gemilerden kaynaklanan hava kirliliğinin önlenmesi ile ilgili MARPOL 73/78, Ek VI ve NOx Teknik Kuralları (çoğu zaman NTC olarak kısaltılır) dizel deniz motor emisyonlarının öngörülen limitleri aşmamasını şart koşuyor. Bütün yeni ilgili dizel deniz motorları artık yönetmelikler tarafından belirlenen Azot Oksit emisyonları standartlarına uygun olarak imal ediliyor. // MARPOL 73/78 - Regulations for the prevention of air pollution from ships, Annex VI and the NOx Technical Code often abbreviated - NTC, stipulate that marine diesel engine emissions must not exceed prescribed limits. All new applicable marine diesel engines are now manufactured to be in compliance with the Nitrogen Oxide emissions standards defined by the regulations.

1986 yılında kooparatif olarak kurulan İstanbul Tersanesi, 2005 yılından itibaren hem yatırım yapıyor, hem de gemi inşa ediyor. Çok kısa bir sürede gelişerek küçük bir alanda, büyük gemilere ev sahipliği yapan tersane; sektörde adından sıkça söz ettirmeye başladı. // The Istanbul Shipyard was established in 1986 as a cooperative and has made many new investments while building ships since 2005. Yeke Denizcilik 2000 yılında, belli başlı denizcilik ekipmanlarının her koşulda müşterilere teslim edilmesi amacıyla Tuzla’da kuruldu. Firma şu anda Tuzla’da bulunan merkez ofisi, bir yerli, bir transit deposu, Gebze Dilovası’nda inşası süren yeni stok ve üretim sahalarıyla hizmet veriyor. Ayrıca, satışı gerçekleştirilen ürünler için Houston, Durban, Hamburg, Singapur, Rotterdam, Kolon, Montreal, Bari, Imingham, Los Angeles, Pire gibi 20 stratejik liman noktasında stok bulunduruluyor. // Yeke Shipping was established in Tuzla, Istanbul in 2000 with the objective to supply major marine equipment to the customers under any conditions. The company provides services at its headquarters in Tuzla, one domestic and one transit store, and new stocking and production sites under construction in Dilovasi, Gebze. Üç ayrı römorkör firmasının ortaklaşa düzenlediği toplu römorkör teslim töreni, 25 Mart 2006 tarihinde Tuzla’da gerçekleşti. Sanmar Römorkör A.Ş tarafından, ikisi Marin Römorkör ve Kılavuzluk A.Ş'ye biri de GİSAŞ'a inşa edilen üç römorkör; GİSAŞ iskelesinde yapılan törenle şirketlere teslim edildi. // Joint tugboat delivery ceremony organized by three tugboat companies was held in Tuzla on March 25, 2006. Built by SANMAR Romorkor A.S., the 3 tugboats were delivered to their owners at a ceremony held at GISAS quay. Two of the tugboats are owned by Marin Romorkor and Kilavuzluk A.S. and one by GISAS.
